San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Announce 46th Class of Leadership San Antonio
The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce today announce the 57 individuals who will make up the 46th class of Leadership San Antonio (LSA).
LSA was created in 1975 by the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce to grow community leaders and is now considered the premier program for existing and emerging leaders in the Bexar County and surrounding areas. The program, one of the first of its kind in Texas, has graduated close to 2000 participants and focuses on helping these leaders develop an understanding of the promise and challenges of our community. In 1992, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber joined to be a co-host to the program, enhancing the involvement and diversity for future classes.
“As 2022 Chairman of the Board for the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and as a proud LSA graduate from LSA Class 10, it’s my honor to welcome the next best and largest class of LSA 46 participants,” said Phil Green, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc. and Frost Bank. “Year over year, the process of selecting a class becomes more competitive and the focus on creating an immersive and challenging experience for these skilled and talented professionals continues to take the program to the next level. I look forward to seeing what impactful lessons, engagements, and opportunities await these future LSA graduates.”
“In my role as President and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, it has been exciting to see the continued success of our great Leadership San Antonio program, now in its 47th year,” relayed Richard Perez. “These 57 individuals are now becoming a part of a far-reaching family of almost 2000 leaders from across our city who will have a unique opportunity to be exposed to the vital issues affecting San Antonio, engaged in Chamber initiatives, and involved in community advocacy.”
“We are thrilled to have selected the next group of purpose-driven leaders from the San Antonio area and introduce them as our new Leadership San Antonio (LSA) 46 class. These remarkable individuals represent the finest leaders in our community. We know that they will be instrumental in helping provide pivotal change and continued growth to the City of San Antonio.” said Denise Hernandez, Vice President of Development for True Flavors, 2022 Board Chair for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and LSA 40 graduate.
“The Hispanic Chamber is proud to welcome the LSA46 class members to join our beloved Leadership San Antonio program. Throughout its history, we’ve seen many talented leaders emerge from this stellar program. We look forward to supporting this next class of leaders who will continue to contribute to the future success of our city,” said Marina Gonzales, President & CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
LSA class participants are selected from all segments of the community and must have demonstrated leadership and held responsible positions in their chosen profession. LSA seeks people dedicated to serving their community and applicants must show a sincere commitment and desire to increase their level of service by assuming key leadership positions.
This coming year, LSA 46 will be dedicated to having powerful conversations to deeply understand disparities and challenges in the community and to harness collective resources to develop solutions that will have an enduring impact. The focus will be on being proximate to the problems that we face as a city and toward each other, by surfacing the issues and doing a root cause analysis to create a more thriving city with lasting and systemic change.
Co-chairs for LSA 46 are Stacy Larson, retired Senior Vice President at Frost Bank and Anne-Marie Grube, Director of Operations for Avante Wealth.
