CLASS 40 NAMED #BESTCLASSEVER FOR SECOND YEAR

The tradition of the Leadership San Antonio Alumni Association giving back to the community culminated at the last event of 2022 with the announcement that $30,000 was raised for the iPlay after school program from San Antonio Sports. LSA Class 40, who raised $12,055, was named #BestClassEver. Class 46, who raised $5852, came in second place.

The iPlay program provides after school sports programs in Title I schools, providing kids uniforms and shoes, club-level instruction, and a safe, encouraging place to learn and grow. LSA 40 alumna and SA Sports President and CEO, Jenny Carnes, says the $30,000 raised can fund iPlay programs in three schools for an entire year. Click here to learn more about iPlay.

At the end of each year, LSAaa holds a fundraiser with the Class raising the most money awarded the title #BestClassEver. In 2021, LSAaa raised more than $43,000 for the San Antonio Food Bank. LSA Class 40 contributed the most funds and the right to select the nonprofit, and the Class selected San Antonio Sports for 2022.

An announcement will be made in October of 2023 of the next nonprofit to benefit from the LSAaa drive.
